Meaning of Thomas 11 Eludes Scholars
“When you come into the light, what will you do?” riddles Christ in the Gospel of Thomas. Too little commentary exists for this cryptic logion. When challenged to reveal the meaning of Thomas 11, most scholars either dust off an end times analogy or wave the Gnostic flag and retreat. Foul ball. Any good scholar knows the Gnostics believe that creation is corrupt and all matter is vile. For them, a human body cannot “come into the light.”
Thomas 11 is a valid Christian text. The problem? This passage has no precise corollary in Scripture. It is also one of the most radical and least understood logia in Thomas or any of Christ’s teachings. But it isn’t Gnostic, and it’s not about the end of the world. Has no one solved Yeshua’s riddle?

Revelation of the Soul explores the idea of human immortality and the means to enter the kingdom of God while we live. Jesus Christ proclaims humankind’s “inheritance” in every gospel and the letters of Paul, but Christianity does not teach it. Central issues: who or what is our greatest love? What caused the first immortal humans to die? What is the path to a life without death? Submitted here in heartfelt detail, Revelation of the Soul is the Savior’s precious gift to a glorious race of immortal children who’ve forgotten how to live.
How much do you know about your inheritance?
Based on Scripture and heaven-sent guidance, this material examines marriage and divorce in the supernatural (God’s) context. It also suggests moral imperatives. As such, Revelation of the Soul is directed at those seekers who wish to undo the Fall and gain the inheritance prepared for you since the creation of the world. I recently placed myself in a situation where I had to recognize the signs of a false prophet. Through a friend I learned of an inspired spiritual author who, just like me (it was said) believes that a human being may return to Eden. Only one other person I know shares my belief. Since the individual seemed in need of public exposure, I felt this could be an opportunity to feature a like-minded guest writer here at FreelyReceive.
Instead, I fell for one of the classic signs of a false prophet: the bait and switch. During a week of email correspondence, my hoped-for guest author never mentioned Eden. In lieu of writing an insightful article on how to re-enter the living kingdom, she very innocently asked me for something entirely different: an Original sin.

My rather dark journey into chaos holds an important truth. Those who seek to learn the workings of creation (or be saved from them) need only ask God for help. In my case I also asked to see the kingdom of God. I’m sure that I didn’t say “kingdoms,” but that’s what I got. There exists an endless number of kingdoms. Some are ruled by living beings, God, or both. And there is at least one realm I know of that doesn’t seem to have a ruler.
Chaos. Imagine yourself cast adrift in a realm in which the smallest thought cannot exist. Whom will you call on when you can’t remember your name?

Some years ago, I asked my loving God for a heavenly gift. To my astonishment, I got it. A short time later, I discovered that God had sent me some ‘extra’ gifts I had not asked for. His gifts were infinitely better, but it took time for me to relax and understand my mixed blessings. I continue to work at this every day. I do not envision a time when the journey will be completed—I pray it never is. And, I will trust my loving God forever, love him in all of his infinite forms.
It can be quite difficult to love every living thing. But we must, else we divide ourselves from our loving God.
I don’t believe God reveals himself in just one way. In truth I cannot conceive just how beautiful, how endlessly indescribable and loving God is. I imagine one could have any kind of relationship they choose–serious, informal, joyous, troubled, lighthearted, childish. I experience all of these, and more keep coming. Many of my gifts are similar to the things I’ve always received in life, except now I know who is sending them. Life is vastly more interesting and enjoyable when I know each new development is aimed at bringing me nearer to my father.

Find your soul and live the life that God intended for you. Your soul is the “perfect someone” that you’ve longed for all of your life. When you create a conscious, loving bond with your spirit, a divine space forms. You’re less concerned with conflict and daily drama. You feel much more peaceful and life runs smoothly. Best of all, when you find your soul you will receive unlimited help, love, and healing directly from God.
You have just been called. You chose to read this article, which means that your loving soul has asked you to say “Hello.” This is not a casual greeting. She wants you understand that you are a living spirit, the envy of all other life forms on earth or in heaven. How so? You are a living being and a heavenly spirit—half human, half angel—whom God has joined together in one body.
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

I held up the stubborn pen and squinted at it: “I know that you’re God’s pen because everything belongs to him,” I said. Late this December evening, neither myself nor my faithful pen seemed to know what to write. My memory of the day held missing time. So I stared into the virgin white page, decided to jot down whatever came to mind, and trust the rest to God’s pen. As I began to write, I had no idea that this would be the most important night of my life.

I’ve always believed that my perfect father would be the most loving and logical being there is. Einstein knew this for a fact. In his complex equations, he glimpsed the creator’s handiwork. The perfection and love of God appeared to Einstein as the natural laws and forces that keep the planets safe in their orbits and enable the stars to create and nurture life.
Like Albert E, I did not recognize my perfect father in the world’s spiritual belief systems. In every faith I studied, the logic ultimately fell apart: my perfect loving father will harm me if I’ve been bad. Even worse, a second, evil god will attack me for no apparent reason. If the goal is to present a single, unconditionally loving creator, this reasoning doesn’t. My entire being rejected it. Continue reading My Perfect Father →
The Red Book is an exquisite red leather bound folio manuscript crafted by the Swiss psychologist and physician Carl Jung between 1915 and 1930. It recounts and comments upon the author’s imaginative experiences between 1913 and 1916, based on manuscripts first drafted by Jung in 1914–17. Despite being nominated as the central work in Jung’s oeuvre, it was not published or made otherwise accessible for study until 2009. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“…the spirit of the depths forced me to speak to my soul, to call upon her as a living and self-existing being. I had to become aware that I had lost my soul.”
